Man, 53, Chops Off Another Man’s Ear For Allegedly Having Affair With His Wife

Reports from Kobolia town in Tewor District, Liberia’s western Grand Cape Mount County say a 53-year-old man identified Lahai Sambolah has allegedly completely chopped off the right ear of a man, 29 years old man using his teeth, over 86 kilometers from Monrovia..

The man, who has been arrested by the Police, is said to have committed the act alleging that the man identified as Fahnbulleh was in a love affair with his wife.

The incident occurred during the late evening hours of last weekend,  20th  November 2020.

According to suspect Sambolah, the victim identified only as Fahnbulleh has allegedly been in a love affair with his wife for the past four years and he been complaining to everyone in the town. But he was been told that there was no evidence.

Suspect Sambolah also told police Investigator that his wife and victim Fahnbulleh usually meet in her friend’s room. In fact, he claimed that this friend has assigned one of her keys to his wife.

The Defendant (Sambolah) came from Teinii last Saturday and in the dark, he claimed to have seen his wife and Fahnbulleh entering in the room where they usually meet.

He further explained that when he pushed the door opened, he allegedly met his wife and victim Fahnbulleh butt naked.

But Sambolah claimed that his wife tried to prevent him from harming her boyfriend and in so doing, she tightly held his (Sambolah’s private part), in order for Fahnbulleh to escape the scene.

But while fighting the both of them, Suspect Sambolah said he cut off the entire right ear of victim Fahnbulleh as a means of producing evidence.

Meanwhile, the wounded man is currently undergoing medical treatment at a local health facility in Tienii, Grand Cape Mount County.

Suspect Sambolah further informed police investigator that he and his wife has been married since 1985, with six children and three children.

He was expected to have been charged with aggravated assault and be forwarded to court on Monday.
