National Public Library Gets Donation From Chinese Embassy In Liberia

Monrovia– Center for National Documents and Records Agency Director General, Emmanuel A. Lomax, has welcomed a recent donation by the Chinese Embassy near Monrovia to the National Public Library of Liberia (NPL).

The donation, including two laptops, two desktop computers, two Canon printers, a set of air conditioner and several cartons of mixed books.

National Public Library Director, Mr. Christian J. Jlatuh, presented the gifts to the Director General of the National Archives, Hon. Emmanuel A. Lomax, on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, during a brief ceremony held at the (NPL) head office on Ashmun Street, in the presence of the agency’s senior management team.

In a brief remark, DG Lomax lauded the Chinese government for the donation and assured that the items will be used for the intended purpose.

He said, due to the innovation of Director Jlatuh, the National Public Library has received its first donation from the People’s Republic of China.

Meanwhile, the CNDRA D.G Emmanuel A. Lomax, encouraged senior staff in attendance to imitate the creative working style of Director Jlatuh. Report by by Kaipee Luther Newray, newraykaipee@gmail.com
