The US-based Nyonblee Cares Foundation is preparing its second shipment of healthcare supplies for Liberia in 2024, aiming to support the country’s healthcare system.

In August, a 44-foot container filled with healthcare, educational, and nutritional supplies arrived in Liberia for distribution by Nyonblee Cares Foundation Liberia. The Monrovia office reported that the consignment was distributed to more than nine schools, including Juah Town Public School, Benson River Public School, Bible Faith School, New Buchanan Public School, St. John River Public School, and Mother Bah School, among others.

Regarding medical supplies, the foundation in Monrovia is collaborating with the County Health Teams of Grand Bassa and River Cess Counties to organize a surgical outreach. This initiative is designed to assist individuals with surgical needs who cannot afford the cost of their procedures.

In 2023, the Nyonblee Cares Surgical Outreach provided 87 free surgeries to residents of Grand Bassa County. The foundation stated that plans and dates for the upcoming surgical outreach are currently in progress.

The Nyonblee Cares Foundation USA, a licensed 501(c)(3) nonprofit, works in partnership with Nyonblee Cares Foundation Liberia, a local nonprofit established in 2011. The organization focuses on education, healthcare, and community empowerment, with a special emphasis on supporting vulnerable populations, including people living with disabilities, women, and children.
