Also speaking, the Chairman of Team Cummings has given reason for the selection of the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sport Stadium  as the venue for the ‘We Tire Suffering’ rally.

According to him, the SKD Stadium was selected because it is the same venue that President George Weah made all his failed promises to the Liberian people.

“You should not give up or give in when you know that your cause is just,” he said; adding: “ this is the reason for some are been alive today because others sacrificed their lives for to live to see this day so that we too can have the chance”

“What sacrifices are we prepared to make in order for the succeeding generations do not have to undergo this harsh economic situation?” he asked.

“President Weah came to power with overwhelming mandate such that he couldn’t  take oat in the national shrine as  where his predecessors did but his inauguration was forced be transferred  to the stadium; this is why we are returning to the SKD.”

“This is where he made his promises to the people of this country. This is the place the people have to return purposely to remind him of the broken promises that is why they are scare for us to go there.”

“What have done that you are afraid of the people who gave you 61 percent of the votes want go?” Mr. Brown asked; “no child that does good will be afraid to return after a day’s work”

Commenting on some of the criticism from the opposition circles, the former Information Minister claimed that this is the time for those want to stand on the shoulders of the ordinary people for power, they are giving unimaginable excuses.

“Each of us has an appointed life time; we will not die before our time and we will not silent ourselves as if we are dead because God along holds our lives that is why we fear no man.”

“We are not saying that you do not have the capacity to harm us but you lack the capacity to silent us because only God has that capacity,” he said.

“The day we give in this life, we have created a democratic society for children and they will be in the position to speak truth tom, power without fear and intimidation.”
