The Liberia National Police (LNP) has begun investigations into establishing circumstances under which two adult Liberians met their untimely deaths in Brewerville, Jah Tondo Town and Logan Town, Bushrod Island, a Police press release said over the weekend.
According to Police investigators, one of the deceased victims, Maude Elliot, 53 years, and a former Employee of the Liberia Immigration Service (LIS), was found early Sunday, about 7 AM lying unconscious in her room in a pool of blood.
A Forensic examination was conducted which showed that the deceased victim was seen with three chop wounds on her head and that the perpetrator gained entry in her room through her window.
It was also established that the deceased victim formerly worked with the Liberia Immigration Service (LIS) in its Human Resource Department. Her body is currently deposited at the Samuel Stryker Funeral home for preservation pending the conduct of an autopsy.
In a related development, the Liberia National Police has also begun investigation into the death of former statesman, Rev. William R. Tolbert III who was discovered in his children’s bed room in a pool of blood on Monday, November 1, 2O21 at O8OOhrs at the Mesurado Compound on Bushrod Island.
Physical Examination conducted by our Forensic team observed the deceased victim with multiple stabbed wounds seen on his neck, chest, over his right eye and upper back.
His remains is deposited at the Samuel Stryker Funeral Home for preservation, while LNP investigators have begun talking with security guards of the Geo Security Services who are providing security for the entire Mesurado Compound as well as the deceased driver, house boy and electrician.
An autopsy on the remains of the deceased victim is also pending.
The public is also urged to assist LNP investigators to help with any useful information which will lead to the arrest of perpetrators to face the full weight of the law.
