The Executive Mansion press release did not say why the Agriculture Minister was sacked, but said “the President has designated Deputy Agriculture Minister for Administration Precious Tetteh to act pending the appointment of a new minister”.

However, a communication in the possession of www.newspublictrust.com from Dr. Flomo dated July 7, 2019 says he is yet to receive any communication from the Executive Mansion, something he humbly expected.

Former Minister Flomo disclosed that notwithstanding, he was told by the Minister of State for Presidential Affairs, the information received from the media was enough and that he must consider it official.

He said that while he was away along with the Foreign Minister of the republic of Liberia, and other Liberian delegation attending the China Africa Economic and Trade Expo, he received a message from friends and family members that he has been relieved of his post as the Minister of Agriculture, a post that he was assigned on March 22, 2018.

The communication dated to the president further stated that upon his return to the country, he also read his dismissal in the news and got a confirmation from the Deputy press secretary of the Republic of Liberia Smith Toby through state Radio ELBC and other radio stations.

In his communication to the president, he said based on the aforementioned, I am writing this communication to express my thanks and appreciation for the opportunity granted him to serve in government of President and people of Liberia adding that his family and him will remain thankful for this and continue to pray for you to succeed.

According to him, Liberia has more than 4.5m people living in the country, looking for something to do but to have he been selected to serve in your government as Minister of Agriculture was privilege and he is filled with Joy for having had such an excellent opportunity to serve under your leadership.

Finally, he look forward to serving his country in other ways and assume president of his highest support to the success of the Coalition for Demonstration led government and his commitment to supporting his government remains unbending and will do faithfully as Liberia needs all hands on the ground to move it forward.
