Sierra Leone’s Electoral Delegation Meets NEC Officials In Liberia

An eight member delegation from the Independent National Electoral Commission is this week on a study tour in Liberia and has been meeting with officials of the National Elections Commission (NEC) in Monrovia.

The team, which arrived on Tuesday, has been sharing experience with NEC Commissioners and other official of Liberia’s national electoral body.

The National Election Commission (NEC) of Liberia said in a press release that the mission is expected to promote electoral management bodies and integration in the Mano River Union basin.

The Sierra Leone learning tour will also include acquiring knowledge and skills on electoral best practice from NEC, electoral risk management and the development of bilateral forum of electoral experts in the sub region.

According to a NEC release, it is the hope of the two bodies that strategic partnership will be formed that integrates resources and expertise on electoral best practices.

Sierra Leone’s eight member delegation is headed by the country’s Independent National Electoral Commission, Mohammed K. Konneh.
