Some Suspects Still At Large Abroad In RIA US$19M Cocaine Bust, As Police Charge Logistics Company Head, Others With Drugs Crimes

Liberia Police Chief Coleman Says, “Liberia Is Closed To Drug Traffickers…”

As several suspects remain at large outside the country, the Liberia National Police (LNP) has charged the head of the Global Logistics Services (GSL), Paul J. King and few others with multiple narcotic drugs crimes in connection with the recent seizure of US$19.2 million cocaine at the Roberts International Airport outside Monrovia.

It is not publicly known what country/countries the alleged drug crimes fugitive in.

The suspects have been charged under Amended Controlled Drugs and Substance Act of 2023 and Chapter 10 of the Revised Penal Code of Liberia with multiple crimes including:

  • Unlicensed exportation of controlled drugs or substances
  • Unlicensed transportation and trading in transit of controlled drugs or substances
  • Unlicensed possession of controlled drugs or substances
  • Illicit trafficking in controlled drugs or substances
  • Criminal conspiracy

“This was a serious transnational cocaine trafficking operations using Liberia’s aviation and logistics system as a channel for organized crime. And today, the Liberia National Police, acting in concert with the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency and our national security partners, is naming the principal suspects and setting out the charges,” IG Coleman said.

In a press statement issued to Journalists on Saturday, July 4, 2026, Police Inspector General, Gregory Coleman said, Investigative Team identified the following principal suspects and now hereby criminally charge the below suspects under the of Liberia.

“We will not allow criminal networks to hide behind company names, false airway bills, airport access, political connections, or cash inducements. We will not permit public institutions to be bent to the service of traffickers,” the Police statement said.

At the same time, there are other suspects in connection with the recent multimillion US dollars cocaine seizure still in hiding, according to police IG Coleman.

“All suspects who are in hiding, outside the country, or otherwise evading the process of law are being pursued through every lawful means available to the Republic of Liberia, including arrest warrants, international law-enforcement cooperation, extradition requests, and mutual legal assistance mechanisms where applicable,” the Liberian Police chief told Journalists on Saturday.
