Across All Sectors Of Football In Liberia

MONROVIA- The head of the Liberia Football Association (LFA), Mustapha I. Raji has reassured the Liberian Populace and football euthanasia that his administration remains committed to initiatiate programs aim at building capacities not only for coaches but across all sectors for development in Liberia.
President Raji made these remarks on Monday, 28 July 2025 during the closing ceremony of CAF License A Course at the association headquarters in Paynesville as he maintained that the LFA will ensure to introduce or initiate activities would impact the lives of both technicians and administrators for the development of football in Liberia.
“We remain committed to build more capacity, bring in more innovation to evolve with, not only with football coaching, but sports medicine, and referee development to create a better job market for all in our football sector,” said LFA President Mustapha Raji.

Delivery the keynote address, the President of the William VS Tubman University, Dr. Olu Q. Menjay challenged the participants (coaches) to apply the knowledge gained and uphold to the highest standards of professionalism at all-time in discharge of the duties and responsibilities, stressing that the future of Liberian Football depends not just on a raw talent, but also on two aspects of coaching, FOCUSED and VISIONARY coaches.
He added for Liberia to have prospects in the game of soccer, it should have well trained coaches who are focused and have vision to develop raw talents, and as such the programs organised by the Liberia Football Association under the stewardship of Mustapha Raji are no exception in capacity building for the development of football.

Making a brief remark, Deputy Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, G. Andy Quamie, applauded the LFA for its leadership in promoting football education and stressed the importance of continued collaboration to further professionalize the sport in Liberia as he cautioned the participants to go make a difference positively so as to have a good reflection on the LFA.
For her part, the head coach of Liberia’s Women National Team, Selamawit Kebede who served as lead instructor expressed gratitude to LFA President Mustapha Raji, the Executive Committee, and the LFA staff for their support throughout the duration of the course, as she calls on the coaches to embrace thier roles with good intention and integrity.
“Let us be coaches of purpose, leaders of character, and builders of hope for the future of African football”. Coach Kebede added.
The CAF A License diploma is the second-highest coaching qualification offered by CAF, after the CAF Pro License.
It is a comprehensive course designed to equip coaches with the knowledge and skills needed to lead teams in CAF competitions like the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup. The diploma signifies that a coach has met CAF’s standards and is qualified to coach at a high level.
