The Liberia Football Association (LFA) has launched the Coach Education Scholarship D License Coaching Course for School Teachers in Margibi County.
The program officially kicked off on Monday, November 24, 2025 at Lango Lippaye High School—one of the largest government-run institutions in Kakata’s Bassa Community.
More than 30 female participants from Kakata and nearby communities—comprising both school-going and out-of-school young women from various secondary institutions—attended the opening ceremony.

Representing the LFA at the event, Women’s Football Officer Famata Duncan delivered remarks on behalf of LFA President Mustapha Raji.
Several prominent school proprietresses were also in attendance, including Madam Florence Nepay of Agape High School and Madam Wedor Davis of the All Girls School. Additional attendees included Benedict Chie, Secretary General of the LFA Margibi Sub-Association, and Joseph McGill, Supervisor of Margibi County referees.

In separate remarks, the school administrators thanked the LFA for initiating the program and emphasized the need for such opportunities to continue in the future.

Speaking on behalf of the LFA-Margibi Sub-Association, Chairman Abrae B. Abraham Smart expressed gratitude to the LFA and urged participants to make full use of the opportunity provided through the training.
CAF Instructor Jasper Benfelix served as the lead facilitator for the opening day.
The Coach Education Scholarship D License Coaching Course for School Teachers is organized under the auspices of the Liberia Football Association and funded by the FIFA Women’s Football Development Fund. The program aligns with Pillar One of Liberia’s Women’s Football Strategic Plan.
Running from 23 November to 4 December, the training aims to equip women with the foundational knowledge and coaching skills needed to begin their careers in football coaching.
