Dear Friends, Colleagues and Tax Ambassadors,

Today, I remember and simply want to say thank you.

I would like to extend my deepest and most sincere gratitude to each and every one of you for your unwavering partnership, friendship and support to both the Liberia Revenue Authority (LRA) and the West African Tax Administration Forum (WATAF).

You are the kind of partners that institutions remember and history records. Looking back on our journey, there has never been, cannot be, and should never be any regret in meeting you, partnering with you, or having you accept the role of Tax Ambassadors. Your support has been invaluable, and your contributions have helped shape the success stories we celebrate today.

What makes your contribution truly remarkable is that many of you have stood with us not because you were obligated to do so, but because you believed in the importance of informing the public, promoting accountability and advancing a better understanding of taxation. Through your platforms, voices, networks and influence, you helped transform complex tax issues into information that ordinary citizens could understand and act upon.

Together, we elevated tax communication and public awareness in Liberia and beyond. Through your professionalism, commitment and dedication, you helped make the work of the LRA more visible and impactful. Today, as I continue my journey at WATAF, that same spirit of partnership continues to strengthen tax administration cooperation and knowledge sharing across West Africa. No, you can’t be forgotten. You must remembers not just in our hearts, but our praises and pages, and weeping pens.

The impact of our collaboration extends far beyond press releases, interviews, media appearances, publications and social media posts. Oh, yea. Each of you has contributed to building a more informed public, encouraging voluntary tax compliance, strengthening trust in public institutions and supporting domestic revenue mobilization efforts that ultimately contribute to national and regional development. That is a legacy we can all be proud of. That is the legacy for which I must look back and say thank you.

As I reflect on this journey, I am reminded that whatever successes we have achieved in tax communication have never been the work of one person or one institution. They have been the result of a community of committed professionals and partners working together toward a common purpose. That community is you, our esteemed media partners!!

You made me better.

You made the LRA better.

You continue to make WATAF better.

For that, I remain profoundly grateful.

Thank you for believing in the mission.

Thank you for your collaboration.

Thank you for your trust.

Thank you for standing with us through the years.

I deeply value our relationship and look forward to continuing this important partnership as we keep the ball rolling, break new ground, and create even greater impact together in the years ahead.

With sincere appreciation and respect,

Danicius Kaihenneh Sengbeh
