MONROVIA, LIBERIA – Former Grand Kru County Representative, G. Wesseh Blamoh, who has been serving as Deputy Minister of State for Presidential Affairs since President George Manneh Weah and his CDC government came to power in January 2018, has been nominated as Minister of State for Presidential Affairs.
After the resignation of US sanctioned former Minister National McGill, Mr. Blamoh was in September asked asked by the Liberian leader to act as Minister.
Now, President George Weah, has nominated Mr. Blamoh as Minister of State for Presidential Affairs and is to face Senate confirmation hearing.
In the last Unity Party government, Blamoh served in the House of Representative.
While in the House of Representatives, he Chaired the Committee on Executive during the 53rd National Legislature. Former Representative Blamoh also served as a member of the committee on Ways, Means and Finance, Resettlement, Repatriation, Relief and Readjustment.
An Executive Mansion press release says he is among a number of other officials the Liberian leader nominated from the Liberia Revenue Authority.
Others nominated by President Weah on Thursday, December 1, include two officials at the Liberia Revenue Authority: Samuel G. Bennett Jr., Deputy Commissioner General for Administrative Affairs (DCGAA) and Mr. Gabriel Yeegai Montgomery Snr., Deputy Commissioner General for Technical Affairs (DCGTA).
In their various letters, the Liberian leader urged the nominees to demonstrate diligence, honesty and commitment to duty when confirmed.
The nominations are subject to confirmation by the honorable Liberian Senate where applicable.
