Weah removes Solicitor General Mulbah, names Cllr. Cephus

Liberian President George Manneh Weah, has relieved Solicitor General, Daku Mulbah of his post.

Cllr. Mulbah, who served in this position during the regime of former President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, was one of the former Sirleaf officials who were retained by President Weah after his January 22, 2018 inauguration.

The removal of SG Mulbah was done on Thursday, May 17, 2019, when the Executive Mansion announced the President’s nomination of Cllr. Sayma Cyrenius Cephus as Solicitor General.

Cllr. Cephus, Legal Counsel of the ruling CDC and an international Lawyer, has been serving as Deputy Agriculture Minister since the Weah government took office in January 2018.

Others were nominated to various positions at the Justice Ministry, who will all be subject to confirmation by the Liberian Senate.

3. Marvin Sarkor                                   -Deputy Inspector General for Operations, Liberia         National Police

4. Atty. Aaron Kparkillen                       – Asst. Minister for Taxation, Ministry of Justice
