Woman, 50, dies, after alleged witchcraft confessing in a missing child saga in Sinoe Co.

(Last Updated On: )

Reports from Murraysville town in Liberia’s southeastern Sinoe County say a 50- year-old woman identified as Serena Coffey has died, after confessing that she knew the whereabouts of a child that mysteriously went missing.

The one year four-month-old child identified as Venson Joe has not been seen since he mysteriously disappeared many weeks ago.

Before her sudden death, the woman had admitted that the child was in her possession and was still alive in their witchcraft form.

The alleged witchcraft confession was done after a “prayer woman” hired by the town’s people to locate the whereabouts of the missing child and it was at that  time that the prayer woman identified Serena Coffey as being doer of the act.

According to the alleged witchcraft, the child was given to them by family member of the child to the witchcraft society.

But she said since the child was given in their witchcraft society, it should also be turned over to them by the person who gave the child to them for whatsoever purpose intended.

Madam Coffey, who is now deceased, was about to call the name of the family member who gave the child to them, when she collapsed. Upon her arrival at the local hospital, she was pronounced dead. Report by Garmah Never Lomo
