In another related Development, alarm has been raised that bridge under Mambo Hill in Tewor District is in a bad shape and is serving as a death, as only motorbikes currently barely manage to cross.

This bridge has also been damaged due to heavy rains in late June.

A resident Mambo Hill said the bridge links towns and villages in upper Tewor and Porkpa Districts.

If there is not quick intervention about the damaged bridge, this may cause serious economic problems for locals in the area, with increase in transportation fares, difficulties for pregnant women and other patients to access Health facilities on the other side of the bridge.

Meanwhile, the head for the District Platform for Dialogue, Melvin B. Kamara has attributed the poor management of the road to lapses by the Grand Cape Mount County Legislative Caucus, who have shown little attention.

Mr. Kamara said although members of the Caucus always plying the road and seeing the deplorable condition it is in, no move has been made to get the Public Works Ministry and other relevant government agencies to do something about it. Report by Garmah Never Lomo, garmahlomo@gmail.com
