Ex-Nimba Rep. Petitioned By Citizens In Buutuo For Senate Race

BUUTUO, NIMBA, Liberia- Citizens of Zoegeh Statutory District have endorsed the senatorial bid of Atty. Garrison Doldeh Yealue, Jr.

The program which took place in Buutuo Nimba County, was attended by scores of Nimba citizens from Gbelegeh, Tuah River, Tappita and Yarwinmensonnoh districts. 

Mr. Yealue, who contested the 2017 Representative election as an incumbent for his district, failed to retain his seat.

Speaking during the endorsement ceremony, Elder Lankah Mendin who presented Yealue to citizens of Buuyao, said it is time for citizens of Buuyao and Tuah River Districts to join hands to support a son of theirs.

He further indicated that the people of Buuyao and Tuah River and interrelated, as such it is time that join hands to produce senator from their region. 

“We have come to ask you people to support our son in this coming election. We decided to come to you because we are one people living in the same region. So we believed that we can’t make alone. So we want you join us to support our son.”

Meanwhile, in respond to elders Lankah Mendin’s appeal, elder Mahnmie welcome his counterparts from Tuah River and said the elders and the entire citizens of Buuyao are resolved to support Hon. Garrison Doldeh Yealue in the impending election.

“On behalf of all the citizens here today and those absent, we whole heatedly welcome the idea and we can assure you that we are with you in everything. Before you could even come here today, we have early agreed to join you. So, in short, we are with you to the very end.”

Speaking during the endorsement ceremony, Atty. Yealue thanked the attendees especially the elders of Buuyao and Tuah River Districts for the step taken.  He used the occasion to caution citizens of the both districts to always support each other in endeavor of such.

“Let me take this time say thank you first to you our elders for your farsightedness and to you our beloved citizens for turning out. I want to encourage you to always do what you just did today. Always support each other in whatever sojourn” he intoned.

Also speaking to reporters after the program Hon. Yealue saidd his decision to contest the pending election stern from a call he received from citizens of his district. He also asserted that the occasion was meant to reconfirm and reconsolidate the traditional tie between the people of Gbehlegeh and Zoegeh statutory Districts. 

“My decision to contest this election is a call I received from my people. Like you saw, this program is intended to reconfirm and reconsolidate the traditional tie between the both districts.”

When asked about what he is taking to the table should he succeed in the pending election, Atty. Garrison Doldeh Yealue said he is taking Nimba to the House of Senate.

” I am taking Nimba to the house of Senate, I am taking advocacy and proper representation to the honorable house” he concluded.

Hon. Yealue is a stalwart of the People’s Unification Party and a former representative of electorial district #4 Nimba County.
