SPORTS: In Orange National 2nd Division League, Junior Professional Gets Second Win

In A Row, Thanks To Dominic Jarteh’s Brilliant Header In Extra Time, As Shaita FC Suffers First Defeat

Former Fatu FC, LISCR FC Bea Mountain and Champions, LPRC Oilers player Dominic Jarteh’s brilliant header in the 18-yard box from a poor goalkeeping from youngster Jessie Angle Save Yeator.

That gave Junior Professional FC a narrow 3-2 win over Shaita FC on Thursday, 21 September at the Tusa Field Sports Stadium in Gardnersville.

The experienced Junior Professional FC’s striker, Jarteh came into the match in second half to register his name of the scoresheet for the first time in the match to give Junior Professional FC a second win in a row.

This win marks the second win for Junior Professional FC at the Tusa Field Sports Stadium in Gardnersville while the defeat marks the first defeat for Shaita Football Club since the start of the 2023-2024 Orange National League-2nd Division and moreover first away defeat.

Loanee Mohammed Kamara got the opening for the home team Junior Professional FC in the 4’minute of the match to give Junior Professional FC a 1-0 lead over Shaita FC but with just 10′ minutes after Junior Professional FC to the lead Shaita FC was awarded a penalty after Jamas Tarpeh was foul in the 18-yard box but James Tarpeh missed from the penalty spot to get the equalizer.

With much time to end the match the visitor got on the scoresheet from Ousman Kamara to level the score 1-1 with him getting on the scoresheet in the 19′ minute of the match.

The former Margibi FC Ousma Kamara got a brace in the 45+ 4 minutes added to give Shaita FC a 2-1 away half-time win over Junior Professional FC.

It was the first time that the Careburgs outfit club Shaita FC took a lead into the match over Junior Professional FC.

Back from the break the away team wasted several chances to get on the scoresheet in the early minutes of the second half which saw new signing Koko Wleh Nimley getting an equalizer from a beautiful header from another blunder from goalkeeper Jessi to level the score 2-2 in the 66′ minute of the match.

And with still 24 minutes plus added time substitute Dominic Jarteh got a brilliant header in the added 3 minutes, after the full 90 minutes of play to seal Junior Professional FC a narrow 3-2 home win over Shaita FC.

The former Fatu FC, LISCR FC, Bea Mountain and LPRC Oilers player Jarteh has now score there goals for Junior Professional FC since the start of the new season.

In other results on Thursday, 21 September from the ATS on the UN Drive Black Man Warrior FC took home yet another comfortable victory over Sinoe-NPA Anchors.

Luther Tarr, Augustine  Dayougar and Marcus Kumeh goals sealed a convincing 3-0 win for Black Man Warrior over Sinoe-NPA Anchors.

The win marks the second win for the Warrior after a defeat 1-0 home defeat to Wologisi FCon match day one on 6 September at the Tusa Field Sports Stadium in Gardnersville.

The Orange National League 2nd Division takes a day’s break and will resume over the weekend accros the country.
