As a team of Full Gospel Businessmen from Nigeria visits Monrovia, former Liberian Vice President Joseph Boakai has challenged African Christianity to introduce a new practical dimension to empower and improve their livelihood on the continent.

He blamed corruption for the level of poverty being experienced by people in Africa, despite the continent being blessed with an abundance of natural resources.

“Utilizing the natural resources is enough to better the lives of the people but corruption and poverty are factors impeding their existence. I look forward and believed that in the Full Gospel Business Men Fellowship (FGBMF)  International, we ought to improve on the lot of our followers across the continent,” former VP Boakai said at the weekend when the team from the Full Gospel Businessmen Fellowship visited his residence in Monrovia’s Paynesville suburb

They went there to pay courtesy call on the former Liberian Vice President, who is a lifetime member of the Liberia Chapter of the Full Gospel Businessmen Fellowship.

Mr. Boakai, whose former ruling Unity Party was defeated in the 2017 presidential election, called on the FGBMC to help transform people through capacity building.

He urged the Christian Business Men organization Liberi, chapter to strive for the economic viability of its members.

The Liberia Chapter of the Full Gospel Business Men in collaboration with its Nigerian and Ghanaian counterparts is hosting a three-day special international Air Lift.

The Air Lift is aimed at bringing ordinary, middle and high level Christian Business men and women back to Jesus Christ.

While in Liberia, the group will work on the vitalization of the Liberian Chapter of the FGBMF.

The Chairman of Airlift on North and Western Africa, Dr. Jude Ememe, who is heading a two-man advance team, said they are ready to support and build the capacity of their members in the market place. Report by Jos Garneo Cephus
