A group of selfless Liberians under the banner the K J Family Foundation has begun the distribution of books to students in elementary schools in Sass Town in Bomi County.

The foundation’s Executive Director, Kenneth Nyanford, on behalf the Chief Executive Officer,  Andrew Joploh said that the decision to assist the students is intended to reduce the burden being faced in securing the books and stationary for the education endeavor.

According to him, the foundation is interested in assisting young people in education, business and sporting activities so as to use their talents in developing their potentials.

Also speaking during the program, a member of the K F Family Foundation, Mrs. Francetta Nyanford disclosed that the organization developed the plan few years ago because of the similar challenges they face in accessing books and stationary while growing up.

According to her, most of them went through their academic sojourn under very difficult circumstances and harsh conditions where basic educational materials were not available.

Receiving the cartoons of books and stationary, the Principal of the Reverend Ernest A. Mark Memorial Baptist School in Sass Town, James Watkins thanked the K J Family Foundation for the donation of books to the students.

He appealed to the foundation to always remember the students at the institution because they lack basic sporting materials such as football, basketball and the necessary logistics for the games.

For her part, the head of the Sass Town Public School, Lorpu Kolleh praised the foundation as being the first organization to donate education materials to the students since this year.

Some of the materials presented to the students were copy books, pencils, pens, coloring pencils, dusters, chalk, sharpeners, among items.
