ZWEDRU, Liberia- The Gedeh County Community College is said to be growing from strength to strength, as it continues to contribute to the growth and development of Liberia’s higher education sector 427 kilometers southeast of Monrovia.
Over the weekend, the College held its 6th commencement and convocation exercise, graduating 135 young men and women with Associate degrees in various disciplines here in this part of southeastern Liberia.

The 6th commencement convocation of the college was held at the multipurpose building of the institution on Saturday December 17 2022.
Liberia’s Chief Medical Officer and Deputy Minister of Health, Dr. Francis Nah Kateh was the commencement speaker, who emphasized the importance of seeking higher education in a specific discipline.
Speaking on the topic, What is your Why, Dr. Kateh admonished students to be focused on their respective career in order to achieving their goals so as to immensely contribute to the growth and development of mama Liberia.
Earlier, the President of the Grand Gedeh County Community College, Dr. Solomon X. Y. Jallayou welcomed the hundreds of guests, students, parents and guardians to the 6th convocation of the college.

Dr. Jallayou also thanked the graduating class– which means we have arrived–for their tireless efforts applied which brought them to achieving their degrees from the lone institution of higher learning in Grand Gedeh County.
Speaking on behalf of the Grand Gedeh County Legislative Caucus, the county administrator for Senator Zoe Emmanuel Pennue, Joseph C. Wahblo lauded the administration and the faculty of the community college for molding the minds of young Liberians and foreign nationals alike.
He promised that the legislative caucus will support the college in any of their undertakings.
Grand Gedeh County acting Superintendent, who is the county Inspector, Hon. Paul T. Neeo lauded the President of the community college, Dr. Solomon X. Y. Jallayu and the entire administration for providing higher education to Liberia’s future leaders.
