In Liberia’s southeastern Greenville, Sinoe County, a man believed to be in his early 30s only identify as Robert, has allegedly shot and killed his girlfriend, using long rang single barrow gun.
After he pulled the trigger on his girlfriend, the man later committed suicide.
The incident, which took place in ENI district # 3, comes in the wake of a sharp rise in domestic violence in Liberia.
According to eyewitnesses, the man accused the woman of being in extra love affairs with another man, after which argument ensued between them. The man later went into his room, took out his gun and shot the young woman dead.
After committing the act, Robert then turned the gun on himself, committing suicide.
Lamenting the tragic incident, an eyewitness said there had been repeated altercations between the two before the shooting.
“Before they died they were always in Confusion here over extra Relationship business,” the eyewitness said.
