LINLEA’s 30th Anniversary Spotlights: “How To Make Liberia A Safer Place”

The Liberia National Law Enforcement Association will celebrate its 30th anniversary with series of activities to include a parade by law enforcement agencies, the official anniversary program and sporting events, with some top personalities speaking on how to make Liberia a safer place.

The official anniversary program will be held on May 16, 2024 at the Monrovia City Hall Ballroom commencing at 11:00.

The Honorable James Dorbor Jallah, Commissioner General and CEO of the Liberia Revenue Authority will deliver the Key Note Address during the program. Other distinguished personalities invited to make special remarks include HE Josephine Nkrumah, the ECOWAS Ambassador to Liberia, Hon. J. Fonati Koffa, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Cllr. N. Oswald Tweh, Minister of Justice & Attorney General, Madam Christine N. Umutoni, UN Resident Coordinator, Liberia, Mr. Juan D. Martinez, Political and Human Rights Officer at the US Embassy, B/Gen Davidson F. Forleh, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of Liberia, Hon. Sam Gaye, Director of the Executive Protection Service, and Hon. John C. Siafa, Mayor of the City of Monrovia,

During the program Hon. Gregory Coleman, Inspector General of Police, Hon. Abraham Kromah, Director General of the Drug Enforcement Agency, Hon. G. Warsuwah Barvoul, Sr., Director of the Liberia National Fire Service, and Hon S. Sainleseh Kwadiah, Director of Prisons, will serve as speakers/panelists for the Wilfred E. Clark Memorial Lecture Forum, presenting their perspectives on how to make Liberia a safer place.

Four outstanding security officials – Hon. S. Sainleseh Kwadiah, Director of Prisons, Hon Sadatu L. M. Reeves, Deputy Inspector General of Police for Training and Manpower Development, Hon Robert W. Budy, Sr., former Commissioner General of Immigration, and Retired Brigadier General Geraldine George, Minister of National Defense, will be recognized and honored for outstanding services to the nation during their tenure of services during the last six years.

The president of LINLEA Cecil B. Griffiths will deliver the state of the association address, and is expected to highlight the association’s initiative for mandatory membership into LINLEA by all law enforcement officers, providing a full range of benefits for such an initiative.

Thanksgiving prayers for the Association and members of the law enforcement profession will be offered by Bishop Christopher T. Pabai of the Garden of Prayer Church of God.

On Saturday, LINLEA will host a one-day sports tournament at the Barclay Training Center featuring football and kickball matches. Law enforcement agencies expected to participate include the Liberia National Police, the Liberia National Fire Service, the Bureau of Corrections and Rehabilitation, and the Bureau of Customs and Excise among others.
