Happy Mother’s Day-05-12-2024!

The world over, mothers’ selfless love, sacrifices, and extraordinary endurance mark them as the quintessential backbone of society.

Although every day is, in essence, a celebration of motherhood, there is the global tradition of setting aside a special day Mother’s Day, exclusively dedicated to honoring these figures of nurturing strength that we are fortunate to call our mothers.

Yet, this should extend beyond the confines of a singular day.

Our veneration and respect for mothers, particularly our African mothers, ought to resonate daily in acknowledgment of their struggles and victories, both past and present.

Our mothers who have transitioned from this life to the next have irrevocably marked our lives and societies.

Their influence and guidance continue to light the way.

We honor them, pay tribute, and profess our everlasting gratitude for their hard-fought contributions, endured sacrifices, and the love they so freely bestowed upon us during their earthly presence.

To these mothers, we owe a debt of gratitude and remembrance that reinforces the need for continual celebration of a mother’s role.

Further, the legacy and continuing struggles of the African mothers and motherhood as a whole who are still with us underscores the necessity for action and attention, for these women must champion the cause of Africa’s liberation.

Africa, a magnificent continent, is currently entangled in the throes of poverty, corruption, leadership deficiencies, and harrowing external manipulation.

However, amidst such turbulent times, our African mothers stand as stalwarts of resilience and change, their resolve unshaken, their spirit unbroken.

African mothers and motherhood as a whole personify moral uprightness, compassionate care, peace, and love, and they are the unshakeable pillars of unity for Africa and our universe.

In the face of adversity, they wear their resilience as a shield while wielding their unwavering commitment to their children’s welfare and a brighter future for their continent and our common patrimony, planet Earth.

These women tirelessly toil, not just for their immediate family, but for the betterment and unification of Africa and Planet Earth.

Their hearts hold the ceaseless love for their children, and their spirits carry the burning passion for socioeconomic justice.

Let us celebrate and cheer on these valiant women, applauding their relentless pursuit of progress, justice, and a brighter tomorrow. On Mother’s Day, and each day henceforth, we recognize their individual and collective contributions.

We acknowledge the differences they are making and will continue to make due to their ceaseless resilience, their relentless advocacy for the voiceless, and their indefatigable efforts for socioeconomic betterment.

To each selfless, caring, peaceful mother, tirelessly laboring for social and economic justice across Africa and the world, we extol you.

Your strengths, your courage, and your ceaseless quest for a better future shape our world and model the way forward for all of us.

In the spirit of universal love, we concede illimitable respect and profound love to the mothers today.

As a personal sonnet from a son to a mother, I, Austin S. Fallah, salute my late mother and all the mothers, women of peace, caring, and love, and unparalleled providers.

Notwithstanding, this applause extends far and wide to all women, nurturing, loving, and battling for a better world.

A more equitable world.

The argument stands unwavering and resounding, and mothers, especially African mothers, must be honored daily and recognized for their fortitude, resilience, and immense contribution to the sustenance of society, societies, and the heart of our families, our mothers.
