Police Confirm, Another Mysterious Death Of A 75 Year-Old Man Is Investigated

GBARNGA, Liberia- A 36-year-old woman has reportedly buried her two-day-old child alive in a swamp in the central County, according to police preliminary report.

Lorpu Kezelee has been charged with murder and forwarded to court by the Crimes Services Division of the Liberia National Police Bong Detachment, assistant Commissioner for police Faisu Sheriff told journalists.

According to Sheriff, suspect Lorpu admitted to the commission of the crime through police’s investigation in Gbarnga.

Sheriff told journalists that, suspect Lorpu informed police that her action to bury her child alive was triggered by the purported father’s abandonment while in the pregnancy; something that led to her frustration in committing the act.

The accident occurred on May 6, 2023 in Sugar Hill community in Gbarnga, according police’s investigation.

Meanwhile, the Bong County Police Detachment is probing the death of an elderly man, age 75 identified as James Jappa at the exterior part of Suakoko City.

According to initial report, Jappa was murdered recently by unscrupulous individuals.

The deceased was a private security at the Perfect Rest funeral home in Suakoko city, electoral district#5.

“The decease had cuts on his head. We have made no arrest yet as our investigation is still continuing in making an arrest,” Faisu told journalists in a press briefing.

The management of the funeral home has since reported of burglary something that may had resulted to the death of Mr. James Jappa.
