Police probe Last Mile Health Driver’s mysterious death

Police in Grand Bassa County has launched an investigation into the mysterious death of Last Mile Health driver identified as David Nyantee, who mysteriously died in Jacob Lateh town in District one, near the port city of Buchanan, 88 miles from Monrovia. 

The Last Mile Health driver carried some health workers of the institution to be deployed in the Jacob Lateh, which is situated around Division 35 in Firestone, where people usually use the Farmington River to cross before getting to Jacob Lateh town. 

The driver reached with staff he went to deploy in Jacob Lateh around the Division 35 in Firestone, leaving the jeep parked where they all use canoe to crossed water last Wednesday

He is said to have done this because it was late for the driver to return to the county, due to their policy that vehicles belonging to last Mile health are to be seen late hour. He therefore called his boss that it was late so he was unable to be in Buchanan. But rather, he would have been there the next day, something his boss had agreed to. 

Narrating  further, the driver was in town along with those he went to deploy as health workers and were given lodging place by some residents of the town and in the evening hour they all converged somewhere sat and do some lecture but was later escorted by two of the residents in the town to where he expected to sleep.

The driver was escorted by the persons from the town and open his room door and went but it was believed that only he along slept in that house for that night.

However,following the next day, those that he has gone to deploy decided to check on him but couldn’t find him thinking that he left early but up to 12 noon, his bosses in Buchanan City,  Grand Bassa County expected him to have been in Buchanan very early but through communication, they final that driver couldn’t be seen.

The staff therefore cross the river and found the jeep still packing to the same place it was left.

The situation which created fear for those the driver went to deploy and the staff decided to asked those who can cross people with canoe but they were told by those canoe men that they have never cross anyone yet. 

Following the situation about the missing driver,  a massive search was launched for him until Saturday of last week a Fisher man said he discovered his body fifty-two minutes away from the town which really strange especially his first time sleeping in the town. 

He was discovered in his under wear with shirt along with the jeep key,  ID card tried on his treasure.

Meanwhile, police has launched investigation into the mysterious death of the driver.
