Ground breaking ceremonies have taken place in Nimba County Electoral District #2 in the Sanniquellie area for the construction of an elementary school and a clinic in Gboa Kitomon and Gbedin Towns, with each estimated to cost USD$47000.000 respectively.

Representative Prince O. S Tokpah broke grounds for both projects in separate locations recently, as his first two projects since he was re-elected by the people of his district in the October 10 2017 elections.

Speaking to cross-sections of citizens at both the elementary school and a clinic in Gboa Kitomon and Gbedin Towns ground breaking events, Representative Tokpah   indicated that his second term will see the continuation of development initiated and earmarked during his first six years in office.

According Representative Tokpah, the days of free talks have gone and such citizens in Nimba District#2 should be ready for their community development initiatives.

The Nimba Lawmaker, who called for the community support through the provision of local materials to speedily enhance the work, highlighted the deplorable condition of the Gboa  Kitomon Public School being operated by government in Sanniquellie-Mah District .

Tokpah maintained that the Gboa Kitomon School was of his urgent need because of government’s failure to address its destruction by heavy rainstorm since late 2017, which has made it difficult for students.

He said the location of Gbedin poses health challenge to the citizens as they have to travel long distances to Ganta and Sanniquellie before seeking medication.

Citizens of the two communities have meanwhile, commended Rep. Tokpah for considering their towns to benefit from his early second-term community development initiatives.

They disclosed that the response of the lawmaker to swiftly respond to the needs of the area runs contrary to perceptions held in some quarters that he was not going to do anything in his second term.
