MONROVIA, Liberia, August 18, 2026– Madam Macdella Cooper, Senior Political Adviser to the President of Liberia, Joseph Nyuma Boakai, has commended Montserrado County Electoral District #7 Representative, Emmanuel Dahn Foundation for helping to improve the lives of young people through his institution (D-7 Skills Training Center).

The center provides training in several disciplines and the Liberian government remains committed to partner and invest in technical and vocational educational for young people to seek job opportunities, according to Cooper.

Madam Cooper made the statement recently when she served as guest speaker for the 8th graduation ceremony of the D-7 Skills Training Center under the Emmanuel Dahn Foundation at Sports Commission on Broad Street, Monrovia.

At the ceremony, 951 young Liberians received certificates after successfully completing training in practical and marketable skills in various disciplines including computer studies, journalism, cosmetology, pastry, tailoring, electricity, satellite installation, entrepreneurship, and driving.

The Senior Political Adviser to President Boakai said that the District #7 Lawmaker was not only concerned about educating young people but also to prepare and equip them for jobs through technical and vocational training, so that they can provide essential services to Liberia, build businesses and become economically self-reliant.

Madam Cooper further emphasized that the Government under the stewardship of President Joseph Nyuma Boakai recognizes that technical and vocational education is critical to reducing unemployment, fighting poverty, and building the skilled workforce Liberia needs for sustainable growth.

She therefore said the government has opened doors for partnership and cooperations with relevant institutions and organizations to invest in the TVET Sectors of Liberia for young people

“Our commitment is shown through partnerships and investments.

The World Bank recently approved US$88.7 million for Liberia’s EXCEL education project. In the past, Liberia also benefited from the US$16 million Youth, Employment and Skills Project, which strengthened our TVET system.” Madam Copper stressed.

The Senior Political Adviser then assured the graduates and the general public that the Government of Liberia will continue to work with development partners and stakeholders to expand opportunities for young Liberians to acquire skills, pursue entrepreneurship, and access employment.

Madam Copper however, called on Liberians and other national leaders, institutions to emulate the example of the D-7 Skills Training Center or Emmanuel Dahn Foundation in order to have a good partnership because government cannot do it alone, and it requires all hands on desk particularly the young people to join together and share their national responsibilities for the future.
