A dramatic late header from Aaron Goll rescued a crucial point for Quincy FC as they played out a 1-1 draw against their close rivals, One Goal Football Academy, on Sunday, March 29, at the Nancy B. Doe Sports Stadium in Kakata.

After a goalless first half, the visitors broke the deadlock in the second half through debutant Michael Sonnie, formerly of Ka-City FC. Sonnie found the net in the 65th minute to give One Goal Football Academy a 1-0 lead.

With time running out and Quincy FC pushing hard for an equalizer, Aaron Goll rose highest to meet a corner kick, delivering a powerful header in the 83rd minute to level the score. His late heroics ensured Quincy FC salvaged a valuable point at home, with the match ending 1-1 at full time.

The result keeps Quincy FC at the top of the LFA Margibi Sub-Association 3rd Division League table with 23 points from their matches, maintaining their title hopes with two games remaining.

One Goal Football Academy remain in second place with 18 points and have three matches left to play.

Quincy FC will face Joananh and Ka-City FC in their remaining fixtures, while One Goal Football Academy are set to take on Prosper FC, Joananh, and Ka-City FC.

Despite leading the table, Quincy FC have struggled against One Goal Football Academy this season, failing to secure a win in their three encounters, with One Goal Football Academy claiming one victory and two draws.

In other results, Thunder FC suffered their first defeat of the season, falling 2-1 to Jabu FC at the Unification Sports Pitch in Harbel on Saturday, March 28.
