Weah appoints NPP’s Cyril Allen as head of NASCORP Board

Chief Cyril Allen, the Chairman Emeritus of the National Patriotic Party (NPP), one of the three parties in the ruling Coalition (CDC), has been appointed by President George Manneh Weah as head of the National Social Security and Welfare Corporation (NASCORP) Board.

The appointment of Mr. Allen was announced in Monrovia on Monday by the Executive Mansion along with other appointments in government, affecting the Board of the National Social Security Corporation (NASSCORP), National Commission on Higher Education (NCHE), Public Procurement Concession Commission (PPCC), Ministries of Foreign Affairs as well as Commerce and Industry.

These appointments are subject to confirmation by the Honorable Liberian Senate where applicable.
