ZWEDRU, Liberia- Generational female for change has blasted the Assembly of God (AG) Church here for what she called its role in the release from detention of one of the suspects linked to the disappearance of Alfred T. Dunner, an election Magistrate of the National Elections Commission in Grand Gedeh County.

Since early this year, Mr. Dunner went missing in Konobo and is yet to be found, a situation that has led increasing tension in this southeastern county, with several persons arrested allegedly in connection with his mysterious disappearance.

Early this year due to his continuous illness after visiting several medical hospitals without solution, Dunner was compelled him to seek traditional healing with a local herbalist in one of the villages in Grand Gedeh County.

There, he was said to be recuperating but unfortunately disappeared one night, a situation that made the herbalist and others to raise an alarm.

Alfred T. Dunner, missing for a protracted period

Rev. Bill Dunner was one of those arrested and detained by the Liberia National Police.

The Chief Executive Officer of Generational Female for Change, Jacquelyn Caryahway said it was very discouraging for the church to have filed an appearance bond for the release of Rev. Bill Dunner, when she claimed that the AG Church had “failed to comment” on the mysterious disappearance of the NEC Magistrate “or declare day for fast and prayer” at the time of Alfred Dunner disappearance.

Ms. Caryahway condemned the role of the AG church in this case and its latest action in releasing Rev. Bill Dunner.

She called on the entire congregation of the Assembly of God Church to suspend Rev. Bill Dunner until he exonerates himself from the allegation linking him to Alfred Dunner’s disappearance.

The CEO of the Generational Female for Change has disclosed a plan to stage a protest against the delay of court actors to adjudicate the Alfred Dunner disappearance case.

When contacted, the Superintendent of the Assembly of God Church, Rev. Willie Dweh refused to comment on the allegation against the church.

He said that the Ms. Caryahway should pursue lawsuit if she wishes.
