Monrovia — The Office of Hon. Cllr. J. Fonati Koffa has released a comprehensive legacy and development report detailing years of constituency-based interventions across infrastructure, health, education, community engagement, women empowerment, sports, and institutional support.

According to the report, total expenditures amount to US$1,046,237 and LRD 22,764,000, covering a wide range of completed and ongoing projects across several communities within the district.

The publication, according to the Lawmaker’s office, is intended to promote transparency and provide constituents with a clear and detailed account of development spending and project implementation over the reporting period.

Infrastructure accounts for the largest portion of the report, totaling US$348,795 and LRD 3,000,000.

The document indicates that multiple school construction and renovation projects in Bolloh, Buah, and Sasstown have been completed at 100 percent.

The report also highlights the installation of streetlights in various communities to enhance safety and nighttime visibility.

Additional investments include the installation of hand pumps in Barclayville communities, support for telecommunications assessments aimed at network expansion, and contributions toward rural road rehabilitation efforts.

The health sector benefited from US$74,700, directed toward improving medical services.

Key interventions include the provision of generators to hospitals in Grandcess and Sasstown, as well as COVID-19 response assistance and fuel support to the Buah Health Center.

Education interventions totaled US$28,453 and LRD 3,670,000, focusing on improving teaching and learning outcomes. The report outlines support for volunteer teacher stipends, district scholarship programs, teacher training initiatives, and academic activities such as debate and quiz competitions.

This category includes assistance to storm-affected residents, support to religious institutions, provision of generators and chairs, and welfare assistance for funerals, medical cases, and local events.

The report further notes the distribution of independence and holiday support packages across communities, alongside contributions to schools, town halls, and other public facilities.

Under women empowerment, LRD 3,000,000 was allocated to support women’s groups and loan schemes in Baforwin, Doeswen, and surrounding areas.

The initiative is aimed at promoting small-scale business development and improving financial access for women.

Sports programs received LRD 2,370,000, supporting local football clubs, youth academies, and contributions linked to the district’s participation in the 2019 County Meet.

The report lists US$198,000 and LRD 3,452,000 under lobbying and institutional support. These funds were used for infrastructure advocacy, communication equipment, school renovation efforts, and broader institutional development initiatives.
