Liberia Businesses Affected By COVID-19 Restrictions Should Be Assisted By Gov’t

Civil Society and Trade Union Institutions in Liberia have appealed to the Liberian government to put in place mechanism for  assistance for businesses and people, who are been affected by the enforcement of the national health emergency in Montserrado and Margibi Counties.

A recent government order placed tough restrictions on the operation of entertainment centers, video clubs, barbershops, among others.

The Trade union and civil society organization’s President, Jefferson Knight said some of the businesses and their employees are already not financially strong to meet their expenses interims of salaries, taxes and food for their employees.
