Liberian Reporters Wear Black To Mourn Loss Of A Female Colleague

The Leadership of the Reporters Association of Liberia (RAL) has expressed its deepest condolences for the death of one of its members, H. Sally Gaye,  who died recently at a youthful age.

RAL is the largest auxiliary of the Press Union of Liberia (PUL).

A press releases from RAL describes Sally’s passing as a great lost to her family members, friends and the Media Community.

Before her death, Sally Gaye worked with the New Dawn Newspaper, Sports writer and as well worked for other media institutions in the Liberian Republic.

The female journalists passed off last Sunday at the ELWA hospital in Paynesville following a period of illness, according to family sources.

The release quotes the Association’s President, Cecelia Clarke as saying, Sally was an inspiration to many young female journalists in the media for her active role played over the years and that she will forever be remembered.

Meanwhile, the RAL leadership is urging all reporters across Liberia to do a dress code with majority black for three days in mourning the death of their late colleague, Sally Gaye beginning this week, says the press release signed by RAL’s Secretary General, Mark Mengonfia.
