Liberia, a gem in the heart of Africa, is currently plagued with a myriad of societal and political challenges, including the rise of political hooliganism and economic corruption.

Therefore, this adda takes a firm stance against the perpetuation of these issues, arguing that citizens must engage intellectually and push for national reformation.

The actions of greed-filled few should not dictate the state of our nation, as it is high time to discard outdated political ideologies and strive to restore Liberia to her former grandeur.

The propound threat today isn’t merely the presence of corruption and political ruckus, but rather the tendency of some Liberians to rally behind these frazzled causes.

A form of misplaced nationalism has resulted in the propagation of unpatriotic slogans and the endorsement of nationalistic criminal protests.

These actions, seemingly draped in the guise of patriotism and national love, are nothing more than a façade for corrupt cartels to evade justice.

The advent of political and economic prostitution is also a testament to the flawed system operated by these cartels.

Such actions, which destroy the sanctity of our nation and breed unproductivity, cannot be ignored or supported under any circumstance.

Instead of aligning with them, we should be endeavoring to expose their illicit dealings and hold them accountable.

Championing the course of national development and reconciliation becomes the new focus.

It is a call to the intellectual status of individuals, invoking a need to look beyond superficial divides and examine the heart of our national issues.

As a country and people, we should aspire to uplift Liberians from the chokehold imparted by corruption, abject poverty, and human rights abuses.

Modernizing education becomes an impelling factor in this equation as it offers a solution to pervasive poverty.

We should open modernized schools and stimulate reductive academic discussions that will impact the common good.

Such discourses help educate our populace, raising awareness about the existing socio-political issues and guiding them on ways they can contribute to societal reformation.

The role of youth vigilance becomes paramount in this discourse.

The youth, who traditionally have been the powerhouse of any nation, must disengage from harmful ideologies and devote themselves to the rejuvenation of our beautiful nation.

Our dear youths must not involve themselves in any protest aiming to protect the criminal cartels.

This time demands their vigilance, which is a stride towards holding these cartels accountable.

The journey towards restoring Liberia to its traditional status as a beacon of light for all of humanity requires collective effort.

As Liberians, our allegiance should not stand with corrupt cartels, but with the truth and justice that our nation deserves.

We should lean not on the crutches of unpatriotic slogans or nationalist criminal protests.

Instead, focusing on edifying one another, invoking national reconciliation, and promoting the common good to resurrect Liberia from the ashes.

These actions will define us as a nation and individually, transforming us into the national heroes we aspire to become, for the upliftment of Liberia on both the local and international stages.

Forget the old ways of our forbearing political hooligans.

Instead, imagine a reformed Liberia, free from the chains of corruption and stagnation, shimmering once again as the beacon of hope for all of humanity, a clear reflection of Unification and Progress, and this should be the vision that directs our collective fighting spirit.

This is the future that Liberia and Liberians deserve.
