The President of the Press Union of Liberia (PUL) Charles B Coffey, Jr, has constituted an Independent Media Stakeholder Committee to probe into the current electoral disagreement among members of the Union.
President Coffey decision is in adherence to Supreme Court Justice in Chamber His Honor Yusif Kaba mandate, following a conference with concerned parties on Wednesday November 23, according to a PUL press release issued on Thursday, November 24, 2022.
Those named on the committee are:
- Pro, Weade Kobbah-Boley, former Chairperson of the UL Department of Communications and Media Studies and current UL Vice President for Institutional Development
- Melisa Annan Chea Representing the Association of Liberian Journalists in Americas
- Martin Brown, Chief Executive Officer of Sky Communications, Inc.
- Trokon Tarr, veteran Liberian Journalist
- Euriah Togar, Current Chairman of the UL Department of Communications and Media Studies
- Teah Doegmah, Media Specialist and a former official of the Talking Drum Studio
- Tetee Kanneh, Manager of Spoon Network
The PUL stated that the objective of the committee is to ensure the smooth resolution of the current electoral disagreement at the Union.
