California USA–Liberia’s own professional Mixed Martial Artist, Dwight Joseph has successfully defended his Bantamweight (135 lb) title in dominant fashion at California’s A1 Combat event.

Held at the Hard Rock Casino and Hotel in Sacramento, California, the reigning champion faced off against tough Hawaiian challenger, Kale Moniz on Friday, September 6, 2024.

Dwight Joseph, who first claimed the title on November 17, 2023, left no room for doubt throughout the fight, controlling almost every second of the bout.

His relentless performance culminated in a unanimous decision, with every judge scoring in his favor.

Reflecting on his victory, Dwight shared his gratitude and future ambitions: “It felt good to defend the title and give a win to every supporter who came to watch, Dwight said.

“I felt really good during this fight, and I’ll like to use this momentum to get another one in the books as soon as possible,” he said after his victory, adding, “I am thankful for all the support I received; I appreciate you all.”

The US-based Liberian Mixed Martial Artist, Joseph carries the legacy of his father, the late Theophilus D. Joseph, former Managing Partner and CEO of Crowe- Liberia, whom he calls his biggest fan.

With an impressive amateur record of 8-0, including several titles, and a professional record now standing at 14-2-1 with two professional titles, Dwight Joseph is a rising force in the world of Mixed Martial Arts.
