9 Liberians Deported From The United State Today, Thursday

 After Serving Sentences In America For Multiple Criminal Offense

 MONROVIA, April 23 – The Government Of the United States of America (USA) has deported Nine Liberian Nationals to Liberia, after prosecution and conviction for false statements and other criminal offenses committed during their staying in the country.

This the latest batch of Liberian nationals to be deported from the US in recent months after serving sentences for similar criminal offenses.

According to a release by Liberia Immigration Service (LIS) today, Wednesday, April 23, 2026, the deportation of the Liberian Citizens follows the completion of prison sentences related to a range of offenses, including robbery, weapons violations, sexual assault, aggravated assault, kidnapping, burglary, driving under the influence (DUI), fraud, resisting arrest, and larceny.

Additionally, the offenses committed by the deportees include domestic violence, drug trafficking, identity theft, and making false statements.

The LIS Authorities emphasized that the deportations of this nature are typically conducted via chartered flights under the supervision of United States security personnel. Individuals are repatriated only after serving their respective sentences in full.

Following the completion of these procedures, they are released to their families under the supervision of the Liberia Immigration Service.

The LIS maintained that this process is in best in keep with good standard that is intended to ensure accountability while also providing an opportunity for the individuals’ reintegration into society.
