13 More Persons Recovered From COVID-19 In Liberia, As Sinoe County Supt. Tested Positive For The Virus

Liberia on Wednesday learned that 13 more persons have recovered from the deadly Coronavirus, bringing the number of people who have recovered so far to twenty.

But just as the recovery number was going up, it was announced by the Sinoe County Health Team in Southeastern Liberia that the Superintendent of the County has been tested positive for COVID-19 and he is now being quarantined.

Dr. Jonathan Flomo, head of the County’s Health Team has announced that Superintendent Lee Nagbe Chea has been tested positive of the COVID 19.

Making the disclosure, the Dr. Flomo said this is the first confirmed case in the County.
It was established that superintendent Chea recently visited Monrovia to get some COVID-19 preventive materials for the county and returned in the county days ago.

Upon his return in the County, the Superintendent felt sick and visited F.J. Grant memorial hospital where he was self quarantined at his house and specimen was taken to Monrovia awaiting result.

When the result of his specimen arrived today(Wednesday) in the county, he came down positive with COVID 19 but County Health team didnot call his name but confirmed the one case.

The Sinoe County Superintendent himself went on Liberty radio and the Voice of Sinoe community radio to announce himself of being positive with the Coronavirus, asking all his staffs, family and friends  to stay away from him while he goes through treatment.
Superintendent Nagbe Chea is being self-quarantined at his house and undergoing treatment.

Meanwhile, in Monrovia the National Public Health Institute’s latest COVID-19 Update released on Wednesday, April 22, 2020 says an additional 13 people have recovered from the killer virus.
