6 persons killed in Road accident near Gbarnga, Liberia

Another fatal motor accident has taken place on the Monrovia-Gbarnga highway (named Madam Suakoko highway), leaving six persons dead.

The tragedy happened Thursday evening in the district of Toyota near Gbarnga, capital city of the Liberia’s central Bong County.

The dead included two females and four males.

The accident involved a black pickup, which was heading from Monrovia to Gbarnga.

Reports from the accident scene said, the vehicle had at least 15 persons on broad, when the tire fell off, causing the driver to lose control.

When the driver lost control, the reports said the vehicle went with force and stuck on a bridge, causing three person to fall into the creek/river and leading to their instant deaths.

The three others died on the bridge. The black pickup carried license plate number A 612906, with service name Uncle Joe.

Meanwhile, the bodies of the victims (who were not immediately identified) were taken to the Phebe hospital by an ambulance.
