The race for the championship and a ticket to the National 3rd Division Promotional Playoff continues in the ongoing 2025–2026 season of the Liberia Football Association (LFA) Margibi Sub-Association 3rd Division League.
On Saturday, April 4, at the famous Nancy B. Doe Sports Stadium in Kakata, Ka-City FC held One Goal Football Academy to a 2-2 draw despite being reduced to nine men.
The result dealt a major blow to One Goal Football Academy’s title hopes. They remain in second place with 19 points from 10 matches, trailing league leaders FC Quincy by four points, with both teams having two matches remaining.
In another Saturday fixture, Champ Academy defeated Zodiac Star 4-1.
With such result Champ Academy sits second place on the league table with 18prs from 9 games
– 4 points behind leaders Thunder FC, who have 22 points from nine matches of the Lower Sub-Commitee LFA-Margibi Sub-association 3rd Division League.
League action continued on Sunday, April 5, at the Nancy B. Doe Sports Stadium, where youngster Arthur Dennis delivered a standout performance, scoring his first career hat-trick in such competition to lead Prosper FC to a commanding 6-0 victory over Jonana FC.
Dennis’ hat-trick takes his season tally to seven goals, making him Prosper FC’s top scorer this season. The emphatic win helps Prosper FC to maintain fourth place on the table with 13 points from 11 matches.
Prosper FC will face One Goal Football Academy in their final fixture on Wednesday, April 8, at the Nancy B. Doe Sports Stadium in Kakata, as the league season draws to a close.
The league briefly pauses before resuming midweek, with decisive matches expected at both the top and bottom of the table.
As it stands, FC Quincy and Thunder FC are the favorites to win their respective Upper and Lower Sub-Committee divisions. Both teams need to win their remaining matches to secure the championship and earn the right to represent Margibi County in the 2026 National 3rd Division Promotional Playoff.
