Praises Showered On Him As True Friend Of Liberia

Liberia’s Foreign Minister, Dee Maxwell Kemayah has commended the out-going Ambassador of the United States for the level of cooperation during his tour of duty in Liberia.

Minister Kemayah, on behalf of President George Weah, thanked Ambassador Michael McCarthy, for his role he played in many initiatives geared towards improving the lives of the Liberian people.

Minister Kemeyah made the commendation at a farewell reception organized by the Liberian government for the out-going Ambassador of the United States held at the ball room of the Monrovia City Corporation

Commenting on the 2023 presidential and legislative elections, Minister Kemeyah re-affirmed the commitment of the government to conduct free, fair and inclusive elections

He thanked Ambassador McCarthy for the assistance of the United States in health, education and other fields aimed at improving the lives of the Liberian people.

According to him, the relations between the peoples and governments of Liberia and United States has grown from strength to strength in recent years

Also remarking during the program, Internal Affairs Minister, Varney Sirleaf honored and gowned Ambassador McCarthy on behalf of President George Weah , the government and people of Liberia.

Minister Sirleaf described the out-going United States Ambassador as a true friend of Liberia and he will ever be missed

In remarks, Ambassador Michael McCarthy, said his tour of duty as US Ambassador in Liberia will ever be remembered in the rest of his life.

Ambassador McCarthy expressed appreciation for the high level of free press in Liberia and hoped that the investors will take advantage of the friendly investment environment in the country.

The ceremony was graced by senior officials of government including members of the National Legislature, the executives traditional leaders, among many others.
