As NEC Releases The 5th Batch Of National Tally Preliminary Results

With 4, 295 of the 5,890 polling places tallied, President George Manneh Weah of the ruling CDC and former vice President Joseph Boakai are almost neck and neck in the number of votes they received in last Tuesday’s presidential elections.

According to Liberia’s elections law, an outright winner of the presidential election must be able to win 50 percent plus one vote in the first round.

As of 6:20 Pm GMT today, Sunday, this constitutes 72.92% of the consolidated preliminary results. National Elections Commission – Results Portal (necliberia.org)
