Court Sends Alleged Killer Of Girlfriend To Prison On Murder Charge

TEMPLE OF JUSTICE, Monrovia- The Monrovia City Court presided over by its Stipendiary Magistrate Ben Barco has sent to prison a Liberian main who allegedly killed his girlfriend recently in the Liberian capital.

Bill Jallah, who is said to have stabbed his girlfriend, Princess Zuo with knife multiple times, was put behind bars at the Monrovia Central Prison at the weekend (Friday, December 27, 2024).

According to police charge sheet, on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at about 18:00hrs-19:00hrs, the Liberia National Police (LNP) through its Zone Five (5) Command was informed that a lady identified as Princess Zuo was stabbed several times on her upper front chest and back by her boyfriend defendant Bill Jallah and was immediately rushed to the John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital where she was pronounced dead upon arrival (DOA).

Police charge sheet revealed that Investigation was initiated After physical inspection of the crime scene, examination of victim Princess Zuo mortal remains and a review of statements obtained during the investigation, it was discovered that prior to Princess Zuo death, on Friday, December 20, 2024, she went out with some friends during the night hours and while she was out, defendant Bill Jallah called her via phone but she did not respond to his call as such, he got annoyed/irritated and on Saturday, December 21, 2024 during the afternoon hours, he went to her working place, located Congo Town adjacent KIA Motor and started to disturb her.

Victim Princess Zuo not being satisfied with the behavior exhibited by defendant Bill Jallah immediately phoned Mr. William Jallah, the father of defendant Bill Jallah who she informed about Bill Jallah attitude at her workplace.

Mr. William Jallah upon receipt of victim Princess Zuo complaint, immediately called one of his daughters in person of Kormassa Jallah and told her about the complaint he received from victim Princess Zuo. Mr. William Jallah further instructed Kormassa Jallah to inform her oldest sister Mawen Jallah and their mother Kumba Amos about victim Princess Zou complaint.

Upon receipt of the complaint, Kormassa Jallah, a resident of Neezoe Community left her home and proceeded to the residence of Mawen Jallah at Pipeline Community and also told her about the information from their father and while she at her sister Mawen Jallah house, she phoned Bill Jallah to inquire about his where about and he responded that he around Mr. Charles Taylor, former president of Liberia residence in Congo Town.

In the process, Kormassa Jallah placed a phone call to Princess Zuo for a while but Princess Zuo did not pick the call.

However, when she (Kormassa Jallah) returned to her Neezoe residence, Princess Zuo returned the call and informed Kormassa Jallah that while she was out with her friends on the night of Friday, December 20, 2024, Bill Jallah called her but she did not pick his call and as such, he had gone to her working to disturb her.

While victim Princess Zuo and Kormassa Jallah were discussing on the phone on Saturday, December 21, 2024 evening, Bill Jallah returned to her working place for the second time and victim Princess Zuo not satisfied with his presence at her work site, told Kormassa Jallah “your brother Bill is here again, please called your sister and mother so you people can come and take your brother from here to stop embarrassing me”.

Kormassa Jallah hurriedly left her residence at Neezoe Community and proceeded to Congo Town and while enroute, she called her sister Mawen Jallah who also promised to follow after Kormassa Jallah along with their mother Kumba Amos.

Upon arrival of Kormassa Jallah at victim Princess Zuo working place she met with her brother defendant Bill Jallah at Prince Zuo work place and Princess Zuo decided that they go somewhere to sit and talk since where they were was her working place which was not a good place to discuss.

Based upon victim Princess Zuo request, they proceeded around an entertainment center known as Fast Nikel, situated adjacent Kool FM Radio Station, Joe Bar, Paynesville between 18:00hrs to 19:00hrs to have some discussion reference defendant Bill Jallah behavior as reported to his father by victim Princess Zuo.

While in-front of Fast Nikel Entertainment Center, defendant Bill Jallah entered said business center where he purchased a bottle of stout for himself and two (2) bottles of Malta for Kormassa Jallah and victim Princess Zuo.

When he came outside from the entertainment center, a waiter at said business center followed with the drinks and placed same on a table which they were seated around.

While sitting, defendant Bill Jallah initiated an argument and or confusion with victim Princess Zuo reference why she went out with her friends on the night of Friday, December 20, 2024 without his knowledge and refused to respond to his call via phone.

Defendant Bill Jallah was at the point aggressive both in words and by physical expression to which victim Princess Zuo also got angry and woke up from her seat, took her bag and started moving towards the main street, precisely towards the direction of Duport Road Junction, Paynesville.

Kormassa Jallah who witnessed the incident, took behind victim Princess Zuo to render apology on-behalf of defendant Bill Jallah and that they could trash their differences.

 In the process of Kormassa Jallah reaching out to victim Princess Zuo, defendant Bill Jallah left the entertainment center and hurriedly followed and when he reached victim Princess Zuo, he started blocking her from leaving but victim Princess Zuo insisted that she could not remained at this point, defendant Bill Jallah pulled up a knife from beneath his clothes from the direction of his left waist and stabbed several times thus leaving severe laceration and puncher wounds on her human person to include; three wounds on her upper left chest, one wound under her left arm, one wound on the left side of her neck, two wounds on the left back of the victim. Additionally, defendant Bill Jallah also used the same knife to stab victim Kormassa Jallah, who tried to stop him from stabbing victim Princess Zuo. 

After inflicting the severe bodily injuries on victim Princess Zuo and inflicting a stab wound on his sister (Kormassa Jallah), defendant Bill Jallah decided to escape justice but was apprehended by some people who arrived after the incident and they took him to Zone Five police Station, located at Joe Bar, Paynesville, while victims Princess Zuo and Kormassa Jallah were rushed to the ELWA Hospital for treatment but victim Princess Zuo was pronounced dead upon arrival (DOA) by medical personnel who were on duty. 

Meanwhile, victim Kormassa Jallah was admitted for treatment. Findings As the result of the investigation conducted, couple with the multiple of physical wounds inflicted on victim Princess Zuo and that of the injury inflicted on victim Kormassa Jallah,

findings of the investigation are as follows; 1 That on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at about the evening hours, defendant Bill Jallah exercise extreme indifference to the value of victim Princess Zuo life when he used a knife which has silver blade to stab her seven times, thus inflicting both laceration and puncher wounds on her human person. 

That victim Princess Zuo bled severely after she was stabbed by defendant Bill Zuo and when she was rushed to ELWA Hospital, she was pronounced dead upon arrival (DOA). 

That defendant Bill Jallah also stabbed his sister in person of victim Kormassa Jallah on her wrist of her left hand and she was also rushed to ELWA Hospital where she was admitted for treatment. 

That the action of defendant Bill Jallah was intentional, purposely and willingly executed in that he went to meet now deceased Princess Zuo with a knife which surreptitiously put on his human person. 

That claimed made by defendant Bill Jallah alleging that he got the used to stab victims Princess Zuo and Kormassa Jallah from the roasted fish and salad he bought while he and the two victims were together is untrue, instead there no evidence he bought fish and salad from the Fast Nikel Entertainment Center. 

Conclusion

In view of the foregoing, the investigation herewith charged defendant Bill Jallah with the commission of the crimes “MURDER and AGRRAVATED ASSAULT and CRIMINAL ATTEMPT TO COMMIT MURDER” for the death of victim Princess Zuo and the assault inflicted on victim Kormassa Jallah on Saturday, December 21, 2024. 

These charges are in violations of chapter 14 and 10 respectively, sections 14.1, 14.20 and 10.1 of the revised penal law of Liberia pending trial by court of competent jurisdiction. 

Meanwhile, the silver blade knife is forwarded to court as criminal agency used in the commission of the crimes.
