The attention of the European Union has been drawn to a recent article titled “Kofi Annan Institute Rips in Scandals” published in Volume 23, No. 555 of The Independent Newspaper on Monday, June 9, 2025.
The article alleges that the European Union provides financial aid to the Kofi Annan Institute for Conflict Transformation (KAICT).
The European Union wishes to clarify that it has not provided any financial assistance or project support to KAICT in the past five years. Furthermore, the EU was not contacted for comment prior to the publication of the article.
