Justice Forum Liberia Wants Lawmakers To Cite Liberian Security Chiefs On Mysterious Deaths

The leadership of Justice Forum LIBERIA (JFL) wants the Legislature to cite security officials for hearing in the wake of a rise in the number of mysterious deaths in the country.

In a press release, JFL says it is deeply concerned about disturbing news regarding the reported mysterious deaths of Rev. William Tolbert, III and an immigration officer, Ms. Maude Elliott.

JFL is hereby vehemently condemn such a barbaric and uncivilized act committed against peaceful and law abiding citizens.

The leadership is therefore calling on the Liberia National Police, the National Bureau of Investigation to team up and immediately launch an investigation into the matter and bring the perpetrators to justice.

Meanwhile, Justice Forum LIBERIA is calling on the US government, the French government, the European Union, the German government, Amnesty International, the Independent Human Rights Commission through their respective ambassadors and representations to seek a redress into these deaths and appeal to them to also volunteer their services in the investigation process.

At the same time, Justice Forum LIBERIA Executive Director, Mr. Maxson Kpakio is calling on the committee on National Security at the Capitol Building to invite the Minister of Justice, the National Security Adviser to the President to seek further information from them regarding the issue of security in general in the country.
