LDEA Deputy OIC ACP Kormazu Concludes Southeastern Counties Tour

Monrovia, Liberia, February 7, 2026

The Deputy Officer-In-Charge for Operations at the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA), ACP Patrick Kormazu, has successfully concluded a tour of the Agency’s southeastern detachments (Sinoe, Grand Gedeh, River Gee, and Maryland).

The tour was undertaken to assess operational activities, motivate personnel, and commend officers for their dedication to combating illicit drugs. During the visit, ACP Kormazu expressed appreciation to the men and women of the Agency for their continued efforts and sacrifices, while strongly cautioning them to uphold integrity and professionalism at all times.

While on the tour he made a brief stop at River Gee County, held community engagement with citizens aimed at fostering coexistence, and also conscientized officers on dealing with commuters especially at checkpoints

He reminded them of the Agency’s zero-tolerance stance on unprofessional conduct, which undermines discipline, credibility, and the mission of the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency.

The LDEA urges the public to continue assisting in the fight against drug trafficking by reporting any suspicious activities through its hotlines:
