Liberians Told How Crucial Agriculture And Education Are To National Development

GBARNGA, Liberia- A Representative hopeful of electoral district#5 in Bong County, Eugene Kollie has stressed the importance of agriculture and education in the development of any nation.

Addressing Journalists in the district recently, Mr. Kollie, who is a Representative hopeful, said if he’s elected in the pending 2023 elections, agriculture and education will be highly prioritized on his developmental agenda in the district.

The Bong County politician described agriculture and education as key to every development tool for any developing nation.

According to him, a country that is unable to feed its citizens stands to experience several unwanted acts by its citizens adding that a hungry man is always an angry man.

Mr. Kollie claimed that he has made many developmental initiatives in the district.

He told the citizens that when he is allowed to serve his people in 2023, he will ensure the two sectors are improved in the District and the County at large.

The Bong County representative hopeful narrated that education, infrastructure development tied with the three cardinal responsibilities of a legislator will make the difference for his leadership, if given the opportunity to serve.

Promises to reawaken sholarship

Moreover, aspirant Kollie has assured his constituents of the reawakening of the Nayorkor scholarship in Suakoko District, which according to him, will help young people especially pupils in Bong County District#5 in order to continue their educational sojourn in high school and University.

The scholarship was suspended by the donor, and current representative Edward W. Karfiah.

Representative Karfiah averred that the scholarship was politicized; although he didn’t name anyone.

In a related development, Mr. Eugene Kollie has committed  himself to helping improving the livelihood  of Suakoko district residents.

The MNG Gold Liberia’s Government relations officer told newsmen that he has contributed to the construction of many public facilities including schools and clinics.

He noted the construction of these different facilities will alleviate young students from walking for hours to acquire quality education and health services.

Mr. Kollie however, believes that, his performances coupled with his relationship will give him better odds in the ensuing 2023 general elections.

Meanwhile, Eugene Kollie has praised Vice President Dr.  Jewel Howard Taylor for her instrumentality to have recommended his employment at MNG Gold Mining Company operating in Kokoyah District, Bong County.
