Venezuela Explosions News LIVE Updates: The United States on Sunday confirmed that it conducted strikes inside Venezuela moments after several explosions were heard in the capital Caracas and other parts of the country. Videos showed a column of smoke and many buildings on fire after the explosions. A state of emergency has been declared in Venezuela by the office of President Nicolas Maduro.
As the news started developing, US President Donald Trump said on his social platform Truth Social that Nicolas Maduro and his wife had been captured and flown out of Venezuela. Trump said that he will address a press conference from his Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida.
Several countries including Russia, Iran, and Venezuela’s neighbours condemned the American strikes on Venezuela.
Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodriguez has said that the location of President Nicolas Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores is unknown. “We do not know the whereabouts of President Nicolás Maduro and First Lady Cilia Flores, We demand proof of life,” Vice President Rodriguez told on state TV.

China Says ‘Strongly Condemns’ US Strikes On Venezuela
China said on Saturday it firmly opposes US military strikes on Venezuela and the capture of the country’s leader Nicolas Maduro, calling it a violation of international law.
“China is deeply shocked and strongly condemns the US’s blatant use of force against a sovereign state and its action against its president,” Beijing’s foreign ministry said in a statement.
“Such hegemonic behaviour by the US seriously violates international law, infringes upon Venezuela’s sovereignty, and threatens peace and security in Latin America and the Caribbean. China firmly opposes it,” it added.

Trump Says US Troops Captured Maduro From A ‘Fortress’
US President Donald Trump said Saturday that Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro was captured from a highly guarded “fortress”, adding that no Americans were killed in the operation.
“He was in a fortress,” Trump told Fox News in a telephone interview.
“You know, that we had nobody killed was amazing,” he said, adding that a “couple of guys were hit, but they came back and they’re supposed to be in pretty good shape.”
