Gbarnga– There has been another case of alleged suicide in another part of Liberia, this time being the central city of Gbarnag, capital of Bong County.
The Iron Gate Community in Gbarnga was early Monday morning Monday (September 10, 2018) a place of shock, when residents of the community woke up to the news of the death of famous tire-man Dorwan Beah, alias “D- One”.
The body of Beah, age 40, was discovered in his bed room early this morning by some people in the house where the deceased was a tenant.
The actual cause of his death has not been established but is it widely believed that the famous tire- man might have killed himself because of disagreement with his wife Bendu Joe 27.
“ For me, I don’t know what really kill him because we only saw him lying on his mattress in his room this morning, but I know he and his wife had been in confusion for some time now,” Yonger Kollie, a tennant in the house where the deceased body was found told www.newspublictrust.com.
The wife of the deceased Bendu Joe told Police Investigation that since she left two weeks ago to attend her sister’s weeding in Monrovia, her husband has been calling and insulting her for reasons best known to himself.

“Since I went to Monrovia to attend my sister’s wedding, Dorwan has been calling and insulting me,” saying I am a prostitute and only in Monrovia passing around looking for men and lying that I went for a weeding”.
She told Police Investigation that she came back from Monrovia few days ago but has been stopping with one of her sisters in another community because of the action of her husband.
According to Bendu, last evening, the deceased went to her sister’s house where she was and demanded that they both go home to sleep but she refused because he was behaving suspicious.
“He came to my sister’s house and started disturbing, telling the people in the house that he will not rest until they put me outside to go and sleep with him, but my sister refused to allow me go with him.”
“I later locked the door on me and went to be only for people to come to call me this morning that Dorwan was found lying in the room dead,” Bendu explained.
She told the Police that at no time Dorwan ever caught her with another man, but wondered why he was accusing her of having an extra love affair.
Officers from the Crime Services Department of the Bong County Police Detachment who visited the scene later called an Ambulance from the Phebe Hospital and Nurses came pronounced the deceased dead.
Although a 15-member coronal jury that was set up to examine the body established no foul played, it is believed that Dorwan may have drink a bottle of Pastee which might have resulted to his death because an empty bottle of Pastee was found under a chair in the room.
The deceased and Bendu have three children, Merry Beah 8, Melvina Beah 6 and Okarina Beah 3.
