Man On The Run In Bong Co. For Allegedly Raping 15-Yr-Old Girl

GBARNGA, Liberia-Police in this central Liberian city are said to be in search of a man believed to be in his early 50s, Moses Dominen for allegedly raping a 15-year -old girl in the Palala district, as the National Conference on rape and SGBV continues in Monrovia, some 169 kilometers away.

Suspect Dominen, according to the rape survivor, sexually abused her after asking her to wash his cloths on Tuesday July 20, 2020 in his room.

“It was during the afternoon hour, after washing his clothes on that day, he asked me to take them in his room. When I carried them inside that how he pushed me on his bed started to open my legs, and trying to shout he immediately putted cloth in my mouth,” the minor narrated.

“Finally, he put his nut (penis) in me, starting having sex with me,” the girl further explained

After satisfying his sexual desire, according to the teenage girl, Dominen allegedly took a dust and mixed it with her blood and put some in her vigina and made her lick the dust.

After suspect Dominen’s alleged heartless behavior, the rape survivor said he threatened to kill her if she ever tells anyone, including family members.

She said because of his therat against her lives didn’t tell her parents until Friday July 23.

Medical reports in the possession of the Women and Children Protection Section at the Liberia National Police in Gbarnga has revealed that the survival was tempered with.

Family sources disclosed told our Bong County Correspondent that the St. James United Church of the Lord in Palala including some members of the suspect carried $1500.00 Liberian Dollars to the family in order to forgo or settle the matter.

“When this incident occurred, my wife took the girl to the Women and Children Protection of the Liberian National Police station in Gbarnga and for subsequent medical examination. The Church and family members came to.me asking me to call my wife and the little girl back do we could settle the matter in house, but I said to them a big NO,” the father of the girl said.

Since suspect Dominen allegedly committed the inhumane against the little girl, locals in Bong County have been condemning the incident and they have re-re-echoed calls for tougher punishment to be meted out against rapists across the country.

Speaking with www.newspublictrust.com on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 in Gbarnga, Bong County Attorney Jonathan Flomo confirmed that suspect Dominen is on the run.

“When I recently received the information I immediately contacted the police Commander in Palala, Inspector Harrison Sodone and the Women and Children Protection Section at the Liberian National Police in Gbarnga and they both to me that they’re in search of suspect Dominen,” the Bong County Attorney said.

Atty. Flomo then assured family members and citizens of the county that he remains committed to the doctrine of justice for all irrespective of race, colors, sex, political affiliation and family lines while serving as chief persecutor of the county.

Meanwhile, Bong County electoral district #6 Representative Moima Briggs Mensah wants the Rape Law of Liberia amended in the County.

She expressed sadness over the alleged irresponsible act of suspect Dominen.

Rep. Briggs Mensah also praised Atty. Flomo for his level of works as county Attorney of the county and furthered challenged him to prosecute all law breakers in the county.
